Signing and way marking Salisbury Plain Training Area
A long term project which lasted for seven years, culminating in 2017 with over 1,000 volunteer hours and over 1,100 signs installed.
To waymark Salisbury Plain for the benefit of all users and also for the soldiers using SPTA on a daily basis. The project was commended by Wiltshire Rights of Way, stating that the project would never had happened without volunteers. The MOD also awarded the GLASS project leader a Sanctuary runner up Award in the Individual Achievement category – quite a rarity for a civilian. The project after running for seven years, covering two counties, and all classes of rights of way. Volunteers have included GLASS members, TRF members, equestrians, and other interested parties – all co-ordinated by our Wiltshire rep.
